Data Protection Information Notice

At UNIT3 we are privileged each and every day to help create a strong, healthy community of health-conscious people. We also understand the need to protect the Personal Data you provide to us directly and on this website. We take this role very seriously. Our commitment to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of our members’ Personal Data is addressed in this Data Protection Information Notice.

1. Data Controller

For the purpose of DP Legislation, UNIT 3 are a Data Controller.

2. Personal Data Processed

Personal Data is any information that directly or indirectly identifies you as a person. We process your Personal Data for the purpose of providing you access to the facilities in UNIT3 – our space, our coaches, our community.

We process the following Personal Data:

• On the website, we collect your name , your mobile number and your email address
  so that we can contact you and provide you with details about UNIT3, as you have
  requested;
• On the Glofox App, we collect your name, email address, date of birth and mobile
  number. Your credit card/bank details are processed by Stripe on behalf of Glofox
  who are our data processor. You scan into the gym using your Glofox bar code and
  this records your attendance at a class;
• On our social media accounts, we process your social media account name when we
  respond to you on that platform; and
• In the gym, we operate CCTV which may capture your image while you are on our
  premises.

3. Legal basis

We process your Personal Data on the following legal basis:

Consent: When you agree to receive notifications/text/emails about upcoming offers or
activities in UNIT3. When you agree to provide information on your health. When you agree to take part in promotional activities for UNIT3 on our social media platforms. You can withdraw your consent at any time.

Contractual obligation: When you are a member of UNIT3 , we need to process your
Personal Data such as your name, address, contact details, credit card/bank details. If you
do not provide your Personal data, we will be unable to offer you access to UNIT3 – our space, coaches or community.

Legitimate interest: When you provide your emergency contact details to us so that we may contact someone on your behalf.

Legal obligation: When we process your image in our CCTV recordings in order to protect staff and you, our members. We are required to have CCTV as a condition of our insurers.

4. Children under 16

Members who are under 16 years must obtain parental/guardian consent for attending
UNIT3. We require parental consent before collecting and processing Personal Data of
children.

5. Retention and Deletion of Personal Data

We retain your Personal Data for the duration of your membership plus one year.
Thereafter we will remove your Personal Data from our records. If you wish to return to us
after this period, we will request your Personal Data again.

For children under 16 we retain their Personal Data for a period of 3 months from the date
of the last class regularly attended.

We retain CCTV recordings for 30 days, unless required by our insurers or legal advisers. In which case they will be retained for longer.

6. Sharing your Personal Data

UNIT3 have engaged a number of third parties who are known as data processors, to
provide services to us . This requires us to share some of your Personal Data with them. We use Glofox for online booking, online payments and check-in technology. Glofox in turn use Stripe to process payments. Neither UNIT3 nor Glofox store your credit card/bank details. In UNIT3, we use Microsoft Office 365 for our IT needs.

7. Transfers outside the EEA

Glofox may transfer your Personal Data outside the EEA to their sub processors as part of

8. Your rights

Under DP Legislation, you are the Data Subject and the owner of your Personal Data

• You have the right to be informed about the data we hold on you and what we do
  with it.
• You have the right to request access to your Personal Data we hold.
• You have the right to request rectification of inaccurate Personal Data we hold.
• You have the right to request restriction of processing of your Personal Data.
• You have the right to object to the processing of your Personal Data.
• You have the right to request we ‘port’ your Personal Data to another organisation.
• You have the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated
  processing , including profiling, which produces legal effects concerning you or which similarly significantly affects you.
• You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time to the processing of your
  Personal Data where the legal basis on which we process your Personal Data is
  consent.
• You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission: Lo

9. Changes to this Data Protection Information Notice
UNIT 3 reserve the right to amend this Notice at any time. Any changes to the Notice will be notified to you and will be made available upon request.
